Back-to-Back Successes

Since 2003, the Opening Doors Foundation
has supported free, live performances
at the celebrated Jefferson Center
in Roanoke, Virginia. Opening Doors
(2003), And All That Jazz
(2004),
Broadway Celebration: The Music
of Stephen Schwartz (2005)
On-Off
Broadway (2006), Broadway Rocks
(2007) have played one-night only
performances before packed houses
of nearly 1000 people. After turning
away over 400 people at the door
for Broadway Rocks, we added an
unprecedented second performance
of Broadway Invasion in 2008. Nearly
two thousand free tickets were released
from the box office in a matter
of hours. That clearly demonstrated
the ongoing need for free, live
musical theater in our community.
Since then we have continued to
“pack the house” with Broadway On
Thin Ice (2010), Monster Musicals
(2010), Opening Doors (2011),
Broadway
Jukebox Musicals (2012) and
Broadway Goes Hollywood
(2013). Enjoy the
pictures for all the shows as you
peruse through our history. |
